The fun event takes place from Friday, June 24, through Sunday, June 26, 2016 in Winthrop, Washington. Participants will experience great riding, socializing, drawings for prizes, and other mountain biking fun. All proceeds support the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance - Methow Chapter's mission and efforts to improve mountain biking and trails in the Methow Valley.
The signature event for the Solstice is the optional all day point-to-point ride on Saturday. This year’s route will start near Loup-Loup Summit and take in the Bear Mountain and Middle Fork Beaver Creek trails in the national forest before crossing the Methow Wildlife Area on a variety of singletrack trails. A lunch stop at Pearrygin Lake State Park will refuel riders before a final short spin back to town on paved roads. The route is approximately 29 miles long and features 3000 feet of climbing and 5600 feet of descending. Registration at https://www.bikereg.com/methowsingletracksolstice.
